The prospects are that the league may happen around September-October but for now, the government must focus on the real issue which is the pandemic.

This means with the pandemic since the game may not happen, India will have to face great loss and this will affect their economy.
Another challenge is that the cricket players will be left to starve during these tough times as their way to earn income will be closed off. This disease requires that there is social distancing, and so no games can actually be played.

We cannot escape the negative impacts that has come with this pandemic as things cannot run normally anymore. The IPL league might also lose its investors as they will get weary of not getting their profits from the tournament. India therefore has to think hard before taking a decision on whether to hold the competitions later in the year or just cancel it.
On 13 March the BCCI made an announcement that the IPL will be postponed to April 15 due to the coronavirus pandemic. As this pandemic got serious, the government decided that the lock down in India will prevail until at least 3rd May 2020. The BCCI indefinitely suspended the pandemic due to this pandemic, we were all left questioning whether this game will happen or not. This uncertainty is still there and all we hope for is that this pandemic will come to an end and things go back to normal.
The truth is that you cannot really prospect when the IPL will begin again as the dates were not given on when it will be held again. All of us should hope for the best so that the sports world can spearhead again and an opening can be found so that the IPL may happen. Let's say if the pandemic will be over by May chances are that the IPL will be rescheduled to the later dates of the year. This will save the economy of India and the players lives will get back to normal, fans will also have a game to watch.
